The National Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC) recently solidified its speaker lineup for the 75th Anniversary Conference and Exhibits May 3-5 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington DC.
United States Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao and Chris Wallace, a Fox News anchor, will deliver the keynote addresses, and Mike Sommers, president and CEO of American Petroleum Institute (API), also will speak at the 2020 conference, which includes talks on industry trends, major safety award ceremonies and impactful committee decision-making.
“NTTC’s Annual Conference and Exhibits is among the premiere events in the tank truck industry,” organizers said.
Chao, the first Asian-American appointed to a president’s cabinet, is serving in her second cabinet position, having previously served as Secretary of Labor from 2001 to 2009. She started out in private transportation financing and began her executive career in public service working on transportation and trade issues at the White House. She’s also served as Deputy Maritime Administrator and chairman of the Federal Maritime Commission. She’s a strong advocate for safety and the importance of infrastructure and innovation in our nation’s economic competitiveness and growth.
As the host of Fox News Sunday, Wallace interviews top newsmakers, from Washington’s power players to world leaders. He has won every major broadcast news award, including three Emmy Awards, the Dupont-Columbia Silver Baton, the Peabody Award and the Sol Taishoff Award for Broadcast Journalism. Most recently, he won the Paul White Award for lifetime achievement from the Radio Television Digital News Association.
Sommers is the CEO of API, the largest national trade association representing all aspects of America’s oil and natural gas industry. He spent two decades in critical staff leadership roles in the US House of Representatives and the White House, including chief of staff for Speaker of the House John A Boehner and special assistant to President George W Bush at the National Economic Council. He led efforts to pass the Troubled Asset Relief Program and the Bipartisan Budget Agreement of 2015, and trade promotion authority in 2015.
Registration for the 2020 Conference and Exhibits is open now.
“Join us May 3-5 as we celebrate 75 years of championing safety and success in the tank truck industry in the nation's capital,” NTTC said.
