EnTrans International links three manufacturers to offer broader product portfolio for the oilfield
A VISIT to any of the oil and gas shale plays in North America provides an opportunity to observe a vast array of specialized equipment and support vehicles. It’s an amazing sight.
Included in the mix is equipment designed and built by companies that are part of EnTrans International, a diversified oilfield equipment manufacturer. Group holdings include Heil Trailer International, Kalyn Siebert, and ServaGroup. All of the companies are owned by American Industrial Partners.
Launched in late 2014, EnTrans International can offer customers one of the broadest product portfolios in the industry, including a wide variety of hydraulic fracturing systems and tank trailers used to transport dry bulk, crude oil, oilfield chemicals, and refined petroleum.
“Over coming years, EnTrans looks to become the best-in-class product provider in both the global hydraulic fracturing equipment industry and the associated over-the-road energy transportation market,” says Gary Riley, EnTrans chairman and chief executive officer. Riley also has served on the American Industrial Partners advisory board since 2006.
He adds that the companies making up EnTrans will continue to sell products under their own brands. However, products also will be developed under the EnTrans name.
Also part of the corporate management team is Randall Swift, EnTrans president with responsibility for day-to-day commercial activities of both Heil Trailer and Serva. Joe Haniford serves as both EnTrans and Heil chief operating officer.
Heil Trailer is a leading manufacturer tank trailers and is known for the enduring quality of its products, industry-leading support and solutions-driven customer service. A manufacturer of aluminum and stainless products for the liquid, dry bulk, oilfield and construction industries, Heil Trailer designs its products to meet the most stringent region- and load-specific requirements in 85 countries around the globe.
“This arrangement makes all of our companies stronger and more innovative,” Swift says. “We have strategically positioned enTrans to be a leader in developing cutting edge products that meet the needs of customers around the world. We’re not afraid to invest and grow.
“The Heil growth strategy certainly will continue, and we have more engineering resources for new product development. I see more joint product development coming in the future. For instance, we may team up to develop more efficient equipment for frac sand delivery.”
A division of Heil Trailer, Kalyn Siebert was established in 1961 in Gatesville, Texas. Beginning in the early 1970s, the company began producing oilfield, drop-deck, low boy, and specialized heavy haul trailers for the construction, agriculture and energy markets. Since 1982, Kalyn Siebert has supported the US military by manufacturing various military trailers for homeland and export use.
