Stagecoach Cartage and Distribution LP, El Paso TX, has received third place in the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) 2007 National Fleet Safety Award Competition. In addition to its truckload fleet, Stagecoach operates a tank truck division.
The carrier was judged in the Phase 1, Division III, 15-24.99 million miles category. The award honors the safest truckload fleets in North America and recognize those companies who show a commitment to safety and accident reduction. Only three division award winners are named to each section.
Eighteen winners are named overall from six divisions and invited to compete in Phase II of the competition, verification and auditing. Upon successful completion of that phase, participants become eligible for Phase III, the grand prize entry, to be announced March 3, 2008, at TCA’s annual convention in The Bahamas.
“We are truly honored to be named a winner of the Division III, 2007 National Fleet Safety Awards,” said Scott McLaughlin, Stagecoach president. “Safety is an important part of our company culture and it is wonderful to be recognized for the diligence we apply day in and day out to our safety goals.”
