Usher Transport recently cleaned up at the Kentucky Trucking Association’s 2022 Annual Conference in French Lick, Indiana.
The family-owned, for-hire bulk carrier collected the association’s prestigious Grand Award for compiling the best overall highway safety record in Kentucky after placing first in the tank truck division of the competitive safety contest.
In addition, Usher took second in KTA’s industrial safety contest.

“These awards are in recognition of your dedication to highway safety,” the company informed employees in a post. “Having an excellent safety program does not win awards, the daily execution by company and drivers and contractors does.
“Today, I commend each of you for a job well done.
“Your efforts set Usher Transport apart from other carriers and serve as a testament to your professionalism.”
Usher also secured two individual awards.
Safety director Christine Estes was named KTA Safety Director of the Year, and safety manager Jed Hudson was recognized for his service as KTA Safety Council Chairman.
