Quantix continued its prolific pace in the M&A space this week with the acquisition of Mid-States Packaging headquartered in Auburn, Massachusetts.
Mid-States is a full-service dry bulk transportation, warehousing, and export services company specializing in the distribution of plastic resins. The company has 11 locations in Texas, the Northeast, and the Mid-Atlantic.
The pickup is the ninth under the ownership of private-equity firm Wind Point Partners, and comes on the heels of purchasing the assets of five fleet-owner companies and signing L.D. McCloud Transportation in November.

Wind Point acquired Quantix (formerly known as A&R Logistics) in 2019 in partnership with board co-chair Mark Holden, a veteran logistics executive who served as CEO of Quantix from 2012 until his retirement in 2021. Quantix previously added G&W Tanks two months ago, Delaware Express in December 2021, RJ’s Transportation in July 2021, Luckey in April 2021, L.T. Harnett in August 2020, First Choice Logistics in February 2020, Plantgistix in November 2019, and Blue Water Plastic Transport in June 2019.
