Suttons International is adding 100 ISO tank containers to its international fleet.
The 24,000-liter (6,340-gallon) tanks are being supplied by NT Tank and will be delivered into active service for global customers by late summer, Suttons said. The business will continue to negotiate for further tank availability as steel prices normalize.
This investment supports Suttons’ growth strategy, which includes strengthening its geographic scale and presence in new markets, while supporting existing customers and regions. The addition of 100 new tanks to the fleet profile builds upon the recent successful acquisition of VTG Tanktainer’s overseas activities, the company added.
The acquisition saw the leading logistics provider acquire ISO tank containers, personnel, and customer contracts from VTG earlier this year, which put the business into the top 10 global tank container operators.
“This investment comes hot on the heels of the successful VTG acquisition, which completed earlier this year and added 5,000 additional tanks to our fleet,” said John Sutton, Suttons’ transport group CEO.
“Increasing our fleet size once again demonstrates our intention and capacity to grow in the international market to better serve our existing customers, while doubling down on the expansion the business has made following completion of the VTG acquisition.”
