The Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association (TTMA) recently recognized Engineered Transportation International’s trailer operations in Juarez, Mexico with a 2022 Plant Safety Award.
The Juarez facility was honored in the “A” category, which includes manufacturing plants with more than 750,000 labor hours per year. TTMA has been awarding Plant Safety awards for 50 years. Winners are selected based on an evaluation and ranking taken from injury data recorded on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) annual injury reports.
The Juarez facility achieved lower than industry averages in three areas: Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR); Days Away, Restricted or Transferred (DART); and Lost Workday Case Incidence Rate (LWIR). Juarez trailer operations also received this award last year for safety performance in 2021.
“I am proud of the Juarez team for their commitment to maintaining a safe environment,” Ryan Rockafellow, EnTrans CEO, said in a news release. “Safety is EnTrans’ core focus, and it is an honor to be recognized for safety performance.”
