ConMet’s dedication to quality recently earned its Monroe NC facility the prestigious Masters of Quality Supplier award from Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) for the 30th consecutive year.
The Masters of Quality Supplier award is given to component and service vendors of Freightliner Trucks and Western Star brand trucks. ConMet has received the award year-over-year by continuously developing more efficient products and processes, and implementing innovative manufacturing technologies, the company says.
Toby Faulkner, Director of Supplier Management at DTNA said, “we’re pleased to recognize ConMet with the Masters of Quality Supplier award. Its Monroe facility has shown an unwavering commitment to excellence that has made ConMet the first DTNA supplier to earn the award for 30 consecutive years.”
To commemorate the event, DTNA acknowledged several long-time ConMet employees. On December 10 DTNA representatives Donald Tautfest, Graham Young, and Brett Zelinko visited the Monroe facility to present awards to ConMet team members who have been instrumental in the facility’s ongoing success, including:
- Darnell Clifton - Production Supervisor
- Richard Brandon Price - Quality Technician
- Bobby Outen - Assembly Operator
- Eric Caldwell - Scheduling Supervisor
- Damien Griffin - Quality Supervisor
- Tracy Melton - Quality Technician
- Deandre Chambers - Line Set Area Lead
- Angela Mosley - Shipping/Receiving Technician; and
- Roger Maye – National Service Manager
ConMet’s Mexico facility also earned the Masters of Quality Supplier award for the 16th consecutive year. When asked about the recent recognition, ConMet’s chief operating officer, Ramesh Ramanathan, said: “To earn this award for so many years in a row, at multiple locations, is a great achievement. We’re honored that DTNA has consistently recognized our facilities.
“We’re looking forward to supplying Daimler with the highest quality products and services for many more years to come.”
