Northern Ohio Peterbilt grows with AMG acquisition

Northern Ohio Peterbilt recently agreed to purchase the operating assets of AMG Peterbilt Group.

Ohio Machinery, which does business as Northern Ohio Peterbilt, recently agreed to purchase the operating assets of AMG Peterbilt Group in a deal the company says will expand its sales and service footprint in central Ohio.

The agreement, expected to close by Nov 30, includes the acquisition of the assets at AMG’s Columbus, Marietta and Zanesville, Ohio locations, as well as AMG’s pre-delivery inspection center in Denton TX.

As the two parties work toward closing the transaction, Ohio Machinery also formed an interim agreement with AMG management that allows for continuous, uninterrupted truck sales, service work and parts sales support for area customers.

The goal is to ensure the Peterbilt customer base does not experience any gaps in service or parts availability, the companies said.

“We intend to build upon the success we’ve seen with our own operations to provide the premium experience they have come to expect from the Peterbilt, Northern Ohio Peterbilt and Ohio Machinery Co names,” said Ken Taylor, owner and president of Ohio Machinery.
