A second shipment of US crude oil being exported to Europe departed a Texas port on January 8. This shipment was loaded at the Enterprise Hydrocarbon Terminal on the Houston TX Ship Channel less than a month after the 40-year-old ban on US crude oil exports was lifted.
The first crude oil export shipment after the ban was removed was loaded in late December at NuStar's North Beach Terminal located in the Port of Corpus Christi TX.
Enterprise loaded 600,000 barrels of light crude oil onto the tanker Angelica Schulte. The Enterprise Hydrocarbon Terminal has approximately 21 million barrels of storage capacity with another 3.5 million barrels of storage under construction.
