Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation recently acquired RPM Consolidated Services, which is based in Fullerton CA.
Odyssey, the parent company of Linden Bulk Transportation, specializes in global logistics and transportation services, including intermodal, trucking, bulk container, global forwarding and transportation management services, which are supported by the company’s proprietary technology platform.
RPM, a certified SmartWay Transport Partner, is a full-service logistics and warehousing provider specializing in Jones Act markets, offering door-to-door ocean, ground and air freight forwarding services to Hawaii and Puerto Rico, with extended services to Alaska, Guam and the Caribbean.
“This is a highly accretive transaction that complements our acquisition of AFF Global Logistics in 2018,” said Bob Shellman, CEO of Odyssey. “We’ve long respected the supply chain network built by RPM as we continue to expand our domestic freight forwarding services. RPM and Odyssey have common goals: constant innovation, quality service and secure freight delivery. Together, our companies can help more customers keep up with the increasing demands and shipment security requirements of transporting their goods, and, with the support of RPM’s domestic network infrastructure and operations, we’ll have even more robust services to offer our customers.”
RPM will join Odyssey’s multimodal global solutions division, which is led by division president Keith Hancock.
“We’re thrilled to welcome RPM into the multimodal global solutions division and bolster our value proposition within similar business units,” Hancock said. “RPM has strong domestic forwarding ties in Jones Act markets, highlighted by a unique door-to-door service to Hawaii providing all modes of logistics and warehousing services.”
Added Shawn Duke, president of RPM: “This is an incredible opportunity for RPM. We’re looking forward to the impressive footprint this creates for the industry and the opportunity to join the freight forwarding portfolio of Odyssey and its multimodal global solutions division.”
