Magellan Midstream Partners LP announced that Don Wellendorf will retire January 31, 2011. He has served as president and chief executive officer of the partnership since 2002 and chairman of the board of directors since 2003. Mike Mears will succeed Wellendorf as president, CEO, and chairman of the board effective February 1, 2011. Currently, Mears serves as the partnership's chief operating officer.
Greatwide Logistics Services has hired Steve Elliott as vice-president of brokerage. He is joining Greatwide after spending 17 years with Schneider National Inc, where he held senior leadership roles in its Truckload, Intermodal, and Brokerage divisions. Greatwide also has hired Brad Taylor as its new vice-president, sales. He is joining the firm after 19 years at Schneider National, where his most recent role was vice-president of truckload commercial management.
Trifleet US has appointed Matt Stevenson as M&R manager for North and Latin America. He has previously worked with these companies: Techni-Kote, Gold Inspection, and Gartner Coatings. Stevenson will also be involved in sales as a technical advisor and as a sales manager.
