Procter & Gamble recently named Heniff Transportation Systems driver Phillip Deitrick one of six Carrier Drivers of the Year during its annual North America Carrier Summit at the Hard Rock Casino in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Driver of the Year winners are nominated by their employers based on safety and service performance, as well as number of miles driven for P&G. This year’s summit featured the theme “Sustainable Future, Winning Together” and over 300 transportation professionals from 90 different companies attended.
“We are very proud of his efforts each and every day.”
Deitrick is a company driver based out of Heniff’s High Point, North Carolina, terminal. He boasts 20 years of experience, including 15 years servicing P&G for Heniff. “He’s always on time and he’s very diligent with his equipment,” said Angela Oakley, High Point terminal manager. “Not only does he carefully inspect his own equipment, he does the same for other Heniff drivers, and even other carriers as well.
“Phillip is an invaluable contributor at the terminal, and he is widely recognized by all for his work ethic and reliability.”
Quality Carriers’ Thomas “Mike” Camara also earned P&G Driver of the Year honors.
Knight Transportation won the Carrier of the Year award, while Schneider National—one of five carriers honored—received “Quarter End” recognition.
