Peterbilt Motors Co. has a new full-service dealership in the Pacific Northwest. The new Dobbs Peterbilt in Sumner, Washington, features 18 service bays that can accommodate 27 trucks, 30,000 sq. ft. of parts storage, and 1,000 sq. ft. of retail space.
Dobbs, which has more than 20 locations in the South and West, said the new location would be its western region headquarters. Its other dealerships are in Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, California, and Washington. Dobbs also opened a Peterbilt dealership in Monroe, Louisiana, in 2021.
“We now have nine Peterbilt locations throughout Washington to serve the transportation community,” said Mike Clark, CEO of Dobbs Peterbilt. “The Sumner location marks our first Peterbilt dealership we designed and constructed from the ground up. We focused on features and a layout that creates an excellent work environment that results in a great customer experience.”
The dealership uses Peterbilt’s new AR Tech tool and can service battery-electric vehicles, according to Olen Hunter, EVP at Dobbs Peterbilt.
At 2800 136th Ave Court East, the new Sumner facility is on State Highway 167 between Highways 18 and 410. Dealer hours are 7 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
