HOUSTON—Heil Trailer showcased a new two-hopper dry bulk trailer optimized for small cube loads of cement, sand, and similar cargoes during National Tank Truck Carriers’ 2022 Tank Truck Week at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
The 940 Two-Hopper trailer provides 940 cubic feet of capacity. At 7,900 pounds, it delivers a 400-pound weight savings vs. the comparable three-hopper, 1,040-cubic-foot trailer, according to Engineered Transportation International (EnTrans), the parent company of Heil and Polar Tank Trailer. The trailer’s shell shape is based on EnTrans’ proven jet-style barrel structural design. Fender brackets are bolt-on for serviceability, and there are fewer valves to operate, maintain, and replace. The 940 Two-Hopper trailer also is engineered with fewer weld seams and includes a clean-bore interior to minimize product retention.
“Our new 940 Two-Hopper trailer is another example of our drive to innovate and lead the industry,” said Jake Radish, senior vice president of sales and marketing for EnTrans.
“We understand that serviceability, efficiency, and durability are key factors in our customers’ success, which is why we maintain a focus on designing trailers that provide the highest performance in all these key areas.”
