Tandem Concepts recently launched its order-based loading system for fuel terminals in partnership with Eagle Transport Corporation, Global Partners, and Toptech Systems.
Drivers at Global’s Apex, North Carolina, terminal already have processed “hundreds” of transactions using the new order-processing system for liquid bulk distribution with positive feedback, the partners reported.
“As a terminal operator, our priority is to enhance efficiency, minimize downtime, and optimize supply,” Craig Yocham, Global Partners senior vice president of terminal operations, said in a news release. “Tandem significantly addresses these challenges by providing our drivers with a smoother experience and streamlined processes. The digitization of orders also allows us to manage supply more effectively.
“We’re excited to see this technology implemented across all our sites.”
Designed to streamline operations, Tandem’s technology helps to ensure a “seamless” transfer of orders from dispatchers to terminals. Upon a driver’s arrival, all relevant order details are pre-populated, eliminating delays, minimizing errors, and requiring no additional hardware, the company said.
In addition, digitized order information is transmitted directly to the driver’s tablet after loading, removing the need for manual data entry or scanning. This approach reduces drivers’ workloads, earning praise for its efficiency, accuracy, and ease of use.
“We are thrilled to witness the positive impact our technology is making in the logistics space,” said Drew Stypa, Tandem founder and CEO. “At Tandem, we remain committed to delivering innovative solutions that drive operational efficiency and elevate customer satisfaction. Our scalable system is designed for rapid deployment, and we’re excited to see it quickly expand across the industry.”
The launch marks a pivotal step in enhancing order processing for midstream stakeholders, Tandem maintained. By digitizing workflows and automating processes, Tandem’s solution helps to accelerate financial reconciliation, simplify invoicing, and optimize supplier inventories.
Looking ahead, Tandem said it plans to continue collaborating with industry leaders to enhance their logistics technology.
“Toptech Systems is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate on streamlining the order-based loading process at the terminal,” said John Ardito, Toptech commercial director of sales. “This technology will benefit the entire terminal ecosystem, including terminal owners, drivers, carriers, and suppliers.”
