Trimble recently recognized Foodliner with a 2022 Ovation award for its innovative use of Trimble’s transportation technology.
The Iowa-based bulk transporter of liquid and dry bulk food products, a McCoy Group subsidiary, won in the Platform Powerhouse category for the best example of a Trimble Transporter Power user, Trimble said. Foodliner uses Trimble’s TMT TMW.Suite, and in-cab Mobility solutions, as well as the Trimble Transportation Cloud, to integrate with several other providers “securely and easily” across the supply chain.
Foodliner also recently implemented SOTI to incorporate driver applications and is utilizing TMT’s tank wash monitoring module to meet compliance with the Food Modernization and Safety Act.
“This annual awards program recognizes Trimble customers that have best harnessed technology to increase the performance, safety and efficiency of their respective organizations,” Trimble said in a news release.

- Analytics Achievers—Best in Data Utilization: Master Fleet
After identifying a need for more robust reporting capabilities, Master Fleet built a complete Business Intelligence dashboard system using Power BI within Trimble’s TMT solution to more quickly find answers to the questions that their operations staff previously struggled to determine, Trimble said. Today, staff utilizes dashboards that provide at-a-glance reporting on staff workflows, status updates, rates and efficiency comparisons, underperforming tickets, inventory turnover, and more.
- Automation All-Stars—Best in Improving Overall Efficiencies: Bison Transport
To address the challenge of ensuring that drivers are able to clear cross-border customs in a timely manner, Bison utilized several Trimble Enterprise solutions to automate many of the manual processes required to ensure compliance with government regulations and efficient crossing. After launching an initiative to verify data cleanliness, Bison adopted the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) and Advanced Commercial Information (ACI) systems submission process through TMW E-Manifest, as well as utilizing driver, trailer and customer profiles in TMW Operations, ultimately allowing it to achieve an average success rate of 89% automation of processes for clearing loads at the border.

Ascend, a growing dry van, full truckload carrier, uses Trimble’s solutions to find backhaul loads more efficiently, showing when tractors are loaded or empty. They also utilize Trimble’s Video Intelligence solution as a key part of their safety program to monitor driver behavior, mitigate risk and coach drivers to improve driving habits while also reducing operating expenses.
- Rookies of the Year—Best Up and Comer: Marvin
Marvin, experts in selling and building windows and doors, has a logistics operation that has utilized Trimble’s solutions to scale with its business to match growth, production and sales across the company. Marvin uses Trimble Driver ELD, Direct Route and DR Track, Trimble Visibility, and integrations with Trimble’s partners including Drivewyze, to become more efficient, ensure compliance, realize ROI and improve customer service.
- Safety Superteam—Best in Advancing Safety: Billy Barnes Enterprises
Using Trimble Driver ELD, Billy Barnes has not had any log violations in over two years, Trimble said. The company utilizes reports to prevent violations and monitor exemptions, yard moves, and personal conveyance. Drivers for Billy Barnes originally were skeptical of using an ELD, but now see the benefits and appreciate knowing that they are compliant at every stop.
