Usher Transport recently joined the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care Partner program as a new member.
The family-owned bulk hauler is one of two new Partners and three new manufacturing members recently approved by ACC’s board of directors at its annual meeting. Usher specializes in short- and mid-range, time-sensitive loads of petroleum to retail outlets and mobile locomotive fueling operations, as well as running a transloading facility.
“ACC is excited to welcome these new member companies and partners,” Chris Jahn, ACC president and CEO, said in a news release. “We continue to develop a strong, unified, and diverse membership that is paramount to advancing the business of chemistry around the country while creating a safer, more sustainable industry under Responsible Care.”
Cura Emergency Services also joined ACC’s Responsible Care Partner program.
The new manufacturing members are American Pacific Corporation, a producer of high-quality custom specialty chemicals; Bayport Polymers, which produces highly customized polyethylene solutions; and Coim USA, an international producer of polyesters and polyols, polyurethanes, and specialty resins for composites and coatings.
ACC’s Responsible Care Partner program extends Responsible Care’s ethic of safety and sustainability to organizations in the chemical supply chain, including logistics, transportation and distribution, among others. Partners adhere to the same Responsible Care commitments as manufacturing members.
