Quantix picks new president, CEO

Quantix recently appointed John Labrie as president and CEO.

Effective immediately, he replaces Chris Ball, who joined the bulk supply chain services company in 2016 and rose to president and CEO in 2021, when he led the unification of A&R Logistics and its affiliates under the Quantix banner.

Labrie arrives from MNX Logistics, where he served as president and CEO for five years, and recently led the company through its sale to UPS. During his time at MNX, Labrie executed a growth strategy that included working with customers to form  mutually beneficial partnerships that ultimately helped double MNX’s revenue. Prior to MNX, he served as president and CEO of Network Global Logistics.

“We are thrilled to partner with John, a seasoned industry veteran who has operated complex supply chains and has an impressive track record of success in logistics,” Mark Holden, Quantix co-chair, said in an Aug. 22 news release. “He brings process, people, and technology expertise that will help propel Quantix to the next level.

“We have an incredibly talented team who will benefit from John’s leadership, and we look forward to working with him as we continue to grow Quantix.

Labrie spent the prior 20-plus years in various roles throughout multi-modal enterprises, including Echo Global Logistics, Partage, and Con-way.

“I am honored to join Quantix during an exciting time in its growth,” Labrie. “It is an exceptional organization with broad service offerings, deeply rooted customer relationships, and passionate people who thrive on serving our customers.

“I look forward to working with the team to unlock the vast potential within the organization while maintaining our customer-oriented culture.”

Ball succeeded Holden as A&R president in 2020 and added the CEO title in 2021.

He oversaw four of the first six acquisitions—First Choice Logistics, L.T. Harnett Trucking, Luckey Trucking, and RJ’s Transportation—under the private equity ownership of Wind Point Partners, which purchased the plastic-hauling company in 2019, helping double the operation’s size in the first two years.

Quantix most recently absorbed CLX Logistics and Houston-based Space City Services, which marked the 11th pick-up under Wind Point.
