Foodliner recently opened a new terminal location in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The site at 5020 18th Avenue SW, which will provide a home base for drivers in the region and a full-service shop, is expected to be fully operational by the end of the year, the carriers said in a LinkedIn post.
“The addition of the Cedar Rapids terminal allows for our team to better serve our drivers and customers in this market while adding additional business opportunities,” said Mike O’Connor, Foodliner vice president of operations.
The Cedar Rapids market was previously served out of the company’s Eddyville, Iowa terminal. The Eddyville location remains fully operational, providing service to customers and stakeholders in Southeast Iowa.
The opening of the Cedar Rapids site brings Foodliner full circle, as the company previously operated a terminal in the community.
The company’s return is a “strategic move,” O’Connor said.
