Randy Dickerson, co-founder of Trailers of Texas, is retiring after three decades of dedication to the tank trailer industry. Nick Harmon, who joined the Navasota, Texas-based tanker dealership in 2012, will now assume 100% ownership of Trailers of Texas, the company reported.

Dickerson and Jerry Stepp co-founded Trailers of Texas in 1995, and together they established a trusted provider of equipment and services to oil-and-gas, agriculture, construction, and chemical-processing businesses across Texas and throughout the United States. Dickerson’s departure marks the close of a “foundational chapter” in the company’s history.

“Randy’s impact on this company and the industry is immeasurable,” Harmon said in a news release. “He’s been a mentor, a leader, and a steady presence to learn from. I’m honored to carry the torch forward and build on the legacy that Jerry and Randy created.”

Trailers of Texas delivers “best-in-class” equipment and reliable support by partnering with industry-leading tank trailer manufacturers like LBT, MAC LTT, Retesa, Tremcar, and Polar Tank, allowing the dealership to offer a comprehensive line of fuel trailers, storage pigs, vacuum trailers, and chemical units. Additionally, Dickerson and Harmon worked together over the past decade to expand the company’s offerings and deepen its reputation for technical know-how.

“As the business enters its next chapter, Trailers of Texas remains committed to its core values of exceptional service, trusted partnerships, and deep product knowledge,” Trailers of Texas stated. “Under Nick’s leadership, the company will continue to grow its offerings in new and used tank trailers sales and specialized equipment solutions.

“The entire team at Trailers of Texas extends its deepest thanks to Randy for his decades of leadership and dedication—and wishes him the very best in his retirement.”
