ConMet recently received a Paccar Supplier Performance Management (SPM) award for the fourth consecutive year.
The SPM Award celebrates suppliers that deliver superior products and services. ConMet has excelled across all three divisions—wheel ends, castings, and plastics—meeting and surpassing the rigorous standards set by Paccar.
One of ConMet's noteworthy contributions is the integration of its PreSet and PreSet Plus hub assemblies. PreSet hub assemblies have been standard on all of Paccar's Peterbilt and Kenworth vehicles since 2003, and PreSet Plus have been standard since 2013.
In addition to wheel ends, ConMet supplies Paccar with plastic interior components such as instrument panels, header assemblies, and sleeper cabinets, as well as some plastic exterior components. ConMet also provides cast iron and lightweight aluminum components like crossmembers, fuel tank brackets, engine and cab supports, hood mounts, and exhaust brackets. All of these products are designed to enhance the performance, efficiency, and durability of PACCAR’s commercial vehicles.
“The commitment of suppliers is critical to our success,” Darrin Siver, Paccar executive vice president, said in a news release. “We greatly appreciate these suppliers’ efforts and achievements in the SPM Program.”
ConMet attributes its success as an OEM provider to its stringent design, validation, manufacturing, and packaging processes. The company collaborates closely with Paccar and other OEM partners to ensure continuous innovation, improvement, and cost performance. ConMet's strategically located facilities simplify logistics and ensure just-in-time delivery to meet manufacturing needs efficiently.
“We are honored to receive the SPM award once again for all three divisions,” said Ramesh Ramanathan, chief operations officer of ConMet’s North American operations. “Our partnership with Paccar is invaluable, and we’re proud to meet and exceed their rigorous quality standards to help deliver a top-quality product.”
