The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance has been awarded the 2003 American Society of Association Executives Honor Roll recognition for its Roadcheck program. The annual Roadcheck, which began in 1988, places a special focus on year-round commercial vehicle safety and other driver safety programs. More than two million roadside safety inspections, including the annual inspections, are conducted each year by CVSA-trained inspectors.
"Your program is a perfect example of how associations play a vital role in helping the nation adapt to complex and changing times," said Michael Olson, ASAE president. "Contributions such as yours are vital and add real value to society. We commend the work you are doing and encourage you to continue. Activities such as yours truly make America a better place in which to live."
