Two motor carriers' experiences with two roll stability control systems will address issues such as safety returns on investment, maintenance issues, and driver perspectives May 14 during a Webinar hosted by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI).

FMCSA and ATRI are providing a series of national Webinars on the impacts and opportunities associated with on-board safety systems. Trucking company representatives can simultaneously listen and watch the live FMCSA-sponsored Webinars from any location in the United States that has Internet and telephone access.

The May 14 Webinar will feature Tracy McDonald, distribution engineer for Praxair Canada, Inc, and Don Osterberg, vice-president of safety and driver training for Schneider National. Both companies have purchased, installed, and evaluated different roll stability control systems, and each speaker will provide hands-on insight on the practical experiences and benefits they’ve encountered. In addition, they will provide recommendations for maximizing the safety and economic benefits of roll stability control systems, according to ATRI information.

Future Webinars will review collision warning systems and smart roadside and wireless technologies. To register for the May 14 Webinar, send an email to [email protected].
