Trimac Transportation’s Los Angeles branch located in Gardena CA has been recognized with the 2012 Excellence Award as one of Eastman Chemical Company’s most valued suppliers.

The branch was named the recipient of Eastman’s 2012 Excellence Award, a designation that speaks to the branch’s commitment to provide consistently high service and quality levels, as well as working with Eastman to improve operational efficiency and performance, according to Trimac officials.

The Excellence Award is part of the Eastman Supplier Excellence Program, or ESEP, which is a quality improvement initiative that benchmarks suppliers according to how well they provide materials, equipment, and services to Eastman.

In a statement by Eastman, the facility is recognized for their “key contribution as a partner of Eastman Global Logistics in helping us meet challenging goals in the areas of delivery performance, logistics value proposition, and exceeding customer service expectations.”

The Los Angeles operation is also a Trimac Model Branch--one that has reached a level of achievement beyond that of a normal operation--the 2012 recipient of the President’s Award for the high mileage category, and winner of the J R McCaig award.

Eastman will present the Los Angeles branch team with the award during their Supplier Day Program on Thursday, April 25.
