Special guest tours Peterson Manufacturing in Grandview MO

May 16, 2016

Bill Graves, former two-term Kansas governor (1995-2003) and current president and chief executive officer of the American Trucking Associations, was a recent special guest at Peterson Manufacturing Company’s corporate campus.

Peterson is a leading supplier of vehicle lighting and safety systems for customers worldwide. The ATA is the national trade and safety organization of the US trucking industry, representing the interests of its 50 affiliated state trucking associations, conferences and other groups. Graves, whose family owned a Salina KS trucking firm and operated fleets for some 70 years, brings a wealth of industry knowledge to his ATA leadership.

Graves’ visit included a tour of Peterson’s 670,000 square-foot production facility as well as the other Peterson companies located on its Grandview campus. With companies that specialize in engineering, tooling and component parts, Peterson’s vertically integrated structure allows it to control the entire production process from design to delivery. The advantages are enhanced quality, speed and efficiency in every phase of operation.
