Oliver Rubber Company, a provider of rubber products to the tire retreading industry, has announced the launch of the Oliver PD Drive, an open-shouldered, US EPA SmartWay-verified drive position retread for linehaul and regional applications.
“The PD Drive provides a winning combination of low rolling resistance, tread life, and traction in this new Oliver product,” said Philip Boarts, Oliver product category manager. “It delivers bottom-line fuel economy and mileage.”
Oliver’s proprietary tread compounding delivers unique properties that contribute to outstanding tread wear and very low rolling resistance, while the open shoulder delivers increased traction. Designed for single- and tandem-axle tractors, the PD Drive has 22/32nds of tread depth and is available in four sizes: 205, 215, 220, and 230. All Oliver retreads carry a national warranty to 2/32nds of tread depth.
