Champion Laboratories Inc has created and delivered “care packages” for United States troops stationed in Iraq. The 30 care packages—20 for men and 10 for women—consisted of wish-list items such as shampoo, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, hard candy, and books. They were put together in the third week of June and then sent overseas so they could be in the hands of the troops on Independence Day, July 4.

The project was initiated and completed by members of Champion Laboratories’ Global Procurement department. This was the second set of care packages delivered to troops in Iraq in the past year and the latest in a series of altruistic events undertaken by Champion’s nine-member Global Procurement team. Others include the “Adopt a Family for Easter Dinner” program and delivering care packages to nursing homes in the Albion IL area.
