The 25th annual edition of Railroad Ten-Year Trends, recently published by the Association of American Railroads (AAR), is now available.

The edition contains data for the years 1998 through 2007 and provides tables and graphs that present an economic overview of the US freight railroad industry, including Class I industry performance, traffic, financial statistics, employment, plant and equipment, and operations.

In addition, the publication includes selected information on regional and local railroads and lists all US freight railroads as well as Mexican and Canadian railroads. It also offers profiles of rail-related organizations and features a brief glossary of commonly-used railroad terms.

Copies are available for $110 for non-members and $50 for AAR members. More information is available at aar.org.
