Kerry-ITS commenced operations in its sixth Asian ISO Tank Container Depot in Tianjin, Peoples Republic of China in February 2014. Kerry-ITS Terminal (Tianjin) Co Ltd provides a full range of ISO tank containers’ services including hazardous cargo cleaning and major tank repairs.
Total area of the facility is 10,000 square meters giving it the ability to store up to 400 tank containers. Security includes a fully fenced perimeter with external lighting and 24-hour surveillance by closed circuit television cameras. The facility is just 10 kilometers from the port.
Eight tank wash bays are available at the depot. The terminal has a fully automated tank cleaning and bio-reactor waste treatment system with touch-screen PLC for proper cleaning water residue disposal. Waste sediment is put into filter press and the cake sludge is sent for incineration.
Two lifting machines are available for handling tank containers, one of which is an empty stacker and one a three-ton forklift. Repair capabilities include in-service repair (minor and major), Offhire repair, Interior polishing/grinding/infill and reweld, structural repair, modification, and refurbishment.
