SMARTLogix has announced the sale of select tank monitoring business assets to Telular Corporation. This move positions SMARTLogix for aggressive growth and development for its complete supply chain optimization platform for fuel and lubricant distributors.

Supported by Telular’s strength in machine-to-machine wireless communications, SMARTLogix will continue to be the exclusive provider for direct sales, marketing, and support for the SMARTank system to the petroleum industry. The manufacturing and marketing alliance will enable SMARTLogix to focus all its development resources on comprehensive, enterprise systems—inventory replenishment, dispatch optimization, resource tracking, bill of lading (BOL) to delivery reconciliation, and paperless transactions.

As a result, SMARTLogix will have a strong balance sheet and the cash resources for aggressive new product development including several strategic acquisitions to complete its total end-to-end, supply chain logistics vision. By focusing on core competencies—petroleum industry expertise, strong R&D, streamlined product development, and hands-on customer service—SMARTLogix is competitively positioned to bring technology, monitoring sensors, and business-critical data systems to the market at a competitive price.

SMARTLogix is targeting new platforms and portals for fuel management systems such as SOX-compliant transaction management, reporting for public companies, third-party financial transaction reconciliation, and data capture devices providing real-time delivery verifications for remote locations such as railroads and national fleet fueling businesses.
