PeopleNet develops four business lines

Feb. 4, 2015

PeopleNet, a Trimble company and provider of fleet mobility technology, announced the implementation of four newly developed business lines to better serve its customers’ unique needs. They are Trucking, Energy Services, Video Intelligence, and Channels/OEMs.

The largest PeopleNet division is Trucking, which will be served by its new general manager Mark Kessler. In this role, Kessler and his team will continue delivering customer service to PeopleNet’s nearly 2,500 fleets. In addition, this division will focus its efforts on innovating new products and services to help fleets deliver more KPI’s and analytics in order to give fleets a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Kessler is a transportation and logistics professional with 20 years of experience in sales, mergers and acquisition, strategic development, operations, customer service, product development, media, and marketing. He joined PeopleNet in 2000 in charge of sales and business development. With his leadership, PeopleNet’s customer roster has grown tenfold to nearly 2,500 fleets that have implemented the company’s fleet mobility solution; including 40 of the top 100 fleets in North America. After selling a company that he started in college and prior to joining PeopleNet, Kessler was an executive at Randall-Reilly Media, overseeing many of its transportation media products. He co-founded Trucking Co Magazine (now Commercial Carrier Journal) and also co-founded the Overdrive Truck Stop and Travel Guide; Partners in Business, etrucker.net, and Truckload Carrier Association’s Commercial Carrier University.

Other divisional GMs will be named in the near future.
