OPW Fuel Management Systems has introduced its Phoenix SQL fuel management software. As a browser-based program, Phoenix SQL operates over a server, and the content is delivered to users via their browser.

Based on the Phoenix Premier software package, Phoenix SQL provides all features that exist for Windows. Featuring an intuitive interface that allows users to easily navigate between account-, card-, and transaction-data screens, Phoenix SQL software uses back-up and restore, terminal emulation, and on-demand transaction polling for fuel control systems and tank gauges. The software lets users choose from more than 60 different types of reports and consolidate data collected from multiple sites with customizable report parameters.

Phoenix SQL uses a Microsoft SQL Server Database for storing and managing transaction data, including SQL Server 2005 Express, which ships with the new software; SQL Server 2005 Standard and Enterprise Editions; and SQL Server 2008 Express, Standard, and Enterprise Editions.

Other features of Phoenix SQL include:

•Browser-enabled; supported browsers include Internet Explorer 7 and 8, Mozilla Firefox 3.5 and 3.6 •Server-based and SQL-enabled •Provides simultaneous multi-user access •Centralized card database for multiple sites •Provides communications through modem, Ethernet, or direct connection •Compatible with multiple Operating Systems—Windows XP, 2003 Server, Vista, and Windows 7 •Export transactions in Excel, CSV, and XML •Multi-level access and security features •Allows for creation of “Fuel Zones” to limit where fleet cards can fuel Phoenix SQL is designed to poll multiple TCP/IP based fuel control systems and tank gauges simultaneously, reducing data collection times for multiple fuel sites. The software is also compatible with Multi-Trucking and R/W Chipkey FCS3000 versions, System2 Standard Card Record, System2 R/W Chipkey, System2 Multi-Trucking, and System2 FleetLINK. It provides multiple logging features for tracking internal operation errors that can be e-mailed to OPW for troubleshooting the software, as well as a User Audit Trail that will record any changes or actions performed by a user while logging into Phoenix SQL. Standard polling text is also available and can be e-mailed to the OPW Technical Support Group.
