Blu. partners with Comdata at all Blu. LNG fueling stations

Blu., an operator of liquefied natural gas (LNG) refueling stations in the western United States and a provider of innovative LNG technology solutions, announces that it has partnered with Comdata to manage card payments at its fueling stations nationwide. The new system is now in operation at all Blu. LNG fueling stations.

This innovative Comdata SmartSight point-of-sale system will now allow the trucking industry to use any fleet fueling card or major credit card at the fuel dispenser at all Blu. LNG fueling stations.

“This partnership with Comdata helps set Blu. apart within the LNG fueling industry,” says Merritt Norton Blu. Chief executive officer. “By accepting all major credit cards, as well as fleet cards, our fueling stations are able to match that aspect of the diesel fueling experience, increasing convenience and efficiency for our customers.”

The new system provides a direct interface between the fuel dispenser (the pump) and the point-of-sale system and eliminates the third-party controller, which increases efficiency and reliability and lowers costs. In addition to accepting payments, the new Comdata SmartSight systems will provide real-time data and automatic email notifications to enable Blu. technicians to remotely monitor and manage fueling sites.

“Our advanced technology helps streamline the LNG fueling process for Blu. customers, and enable the company to manage and monitor its stations more effectively,” says Randy Morgan, Comdata executive vice-president.

In addition to providing the fastest fueling natural gas solution, Blu. has also made fueling more convenient for trucking fleets by including dispensers that allow pumping of LNG, diesel and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) on the same lane.
