Westway Group Inc has been recognized with the Safety Leadership Award by the National Safety Council at a number of facilities. This award honors companies that have achieved five consecutive years without an occupational injury or illness resulting in days away from work or death. Westway Group has been a member of the NSC since July 26, 2001. The NSC helps in preventing injuries and deaths at work, in homes and communities, and on the roads, through its leadership, research, education, and advocacy.
