Western Petroleum, Vernal UT, has achieved solid success as a petroleum marketer that is focused on industrial customers, including oilfield operators. The marketer's fleet of 43 transports operates in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, and Nevada. The marketer also operates a network of seven bulk plants across the region.

Truck-and-trailer combinations account for 14 of the 43 fuel transports in the Western Petroleum fleet. The rest are tractor-trailer combinations. Kenworth trucks and tractors predominate in the fleet. Beall Corp has built most of the petroleum cargo tanks used by the fleet.

One of seven bulk plants in the Western Petroleum network, this facility is in Roosevelt UT. This plant has a 250,000-gallon capacity for refined fuels. Average capacity through the system is 200,000 gallons. Bulk plants typically receive six to eight inbound fuel shipments each day. All of the locations meet the new SPCC storage terminal regulations.
Bulk plant equipment includes Pneumericator tank level gauges and monitoring, Liquid Controls meters, Scully overfill and grounding, and Goodyear hoses with OPW fittings.
