Ruan Transport Corp, Des Moines IA, has received a merit award from Johnson Controls Inc (JCI), Glendale WI, for employee efforts to improve quality and customer satisfaction for JCI, according to Ruan information.

Ruan employees Wayne Ashley, vice-president and regional manager, Scott Edge, terminal support manager, and Eric MacKenzie, operations manager, each received letters of recognition for their work on the transition from another provider to Ruan.

"This award affirms Ruan’s commitment to serve our customers to the very best of our ability," Wayne Ashley, Ruan region vice-president, stated. "This would not have been possible without the assistance of our drivers who helped during the start up and the drivers that transitioned. Their professionalism and dedication to our company is what helped us receive this honor."

Ruan began its partnership with JCI in 1994 to provide dedicated contract carriage.

"The efforts that led to this selection demonstrate that quality and customer satisfaction are being practiced and are making a positive difference at Johnson Controls," Alex Molinaroli, president, power solutions, stated. "Through these efforts, Ruan is a positive role model at JCI."

Ruan’s merit awards make the company automatically eligible for JCI’s chairman’s awards at the end of this fiscal year.
