Vigillo LLC announced that in honor of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week it would be releasing a series of Roadside Resume videos presented by industry expert and driver advocate Dan Baker. In addition, anyone who “likes” Roadside Resume on Facebook during September will be entered into a sweepstakes to win a free iPad.

“The creation of Roadside Resume was a matter of basic fairness. There is no other mechanism for drivers to see or monitor their own CSA (Compliance, Safety, Accountability) scores. Partnering with Dan Baker to promote this free service to drivers was a natural fit. Since he is such a huge advocate of the driver, we figured National Truck Driver Appreciation Week was the perfect time to announce our videos,” said Steven G Bryan, chief executive officer of Vigillo.

Known as “the man on the people’s side of trucking,” Baker is a nationally recognized speaker and consultant to the trucking industry. His expertise and focus is on the trucker with the basic theme of his work being “If you’re in trucking today, first of all, you’re in the people business—and secondly, you’re in the trucking business.”

“Those who know me know I never endorse products,” said Baker, “but Roadside Resume is different. What Vigillo is offering with Roadside Resume is a product created in the best interest of the driver. It is unbelievable to me that drivers are being measured on a system they have no visibility into. I’m on the driver’s side—and so is Roadside Resume, which is why I agreed to be the voice of their videos.”

Roadside Resume is based on three years of violation history and up to five current and past CDL numbers. The database will include information from carriers that are Vigillo CSA Scorecard subscribers or Affiliate members of the Vigillo Network, companies that have elected to provide this service to their drivers by giving Vigillo access to their inspection data without paying to receive scorecards.
