Transplace announced that global composite and coating industry manufacturer Reichhold Inc has selected the third-party logistics (3PL) provider to handle certain domestic transportation management activities.
With Transplace’s logistics services and technology, Reichhold expects to achieve ongoing cost savings, enhanced service levels, and improved visibility. The announcement marks continued expansion of the 3PL’s position in the chemical industry.
Reichhold is one of the world’s largest suppliers of unsaturated polyester resins for composites and a supplier of coating resins for a variety of markets and applications. With its world headquarters in Research Triangle Park NC, and 20 manufacturing sites and five technology centers around the world, Reichhold has a wide global reach.
Transplace will leverage its award-winning technology to improve the daily operations of Reichhold’s domestic trucking flows in North America. The 3PL will procure and manage Reichhold’s truckload contracts with the carrier community, as well as manage the freight audit and payment process.
