Oiltanking and Dupré Logistics announced the formation of a joint venture company named Oiltanking-Dupré. This new organization, dedicated to serving customers in need of material handling for pet coke, combines the assets of Oiltanking’s worldwide network with Dupré’s experience in dry bulk handling.

With this joint venture, both companies realize their strategy to move into dry bulk handling and other refinery service operations. This joint venture allows both parties to provide tailored systems for customers’ needs.

The dry bulk material handling specialists will be based in Houston TX and have the capacity to meet dry bulk needs nationwide. Oiltanking-Dupré will be structured as a 50-50 joint venture, combining services formerly coupled via client-to-client partnerships. Both companies will be providing services and support in their area of expertise to make the venture flow. Rick Adams has been named vice-president of Oiltanking-Dupré.

Oiltanking, a subsidiary of Marquard & Bahls AG, Germany, owns and operates 69 terminals in 21 countries within Europe, North and South America, the Middle East, and Asia. It has an overall capacity of more than 17.2 million cubic meters.
