North Carolina calling for emergency water haulers

Oct. 7, 2015

In light of the recent flooding in North Carolina, tank truck carriers are being asked to help out by transporting drinking and non-potable water to afflicted areas.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation and the North Carolina Trucking Association asked National Tank Truck Carriers to help create a list of motor carriers capable of transporting bulk potable and non-potable water in quantities of approximately 6,000 gallons per truck.

These carriers would be contacted to volunteer to transport to areas in North Carolina and possibly surrounding states where there is currently no available drinking water because of damage to or contamination of a water system.

Companies capable of assisting during this emergency are encouraged to contact NTTC. Please provide the company name, point of contact's name, email and telephone number to Megan Kmiotek: [email protected].
