The New England Fuel Institute (NEFI) is offering information on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) rules discussed at a NEFI seminar conducted in July.

The seminar is available on CD-ROM and should be of interest to anyone with a motor fuel or heating oil bulk plant with 1,320 gallons of above-ground storage. Deadline to comply with the rule is July 2, 2009. The CD contains information for guidance in the most important SPCC compliance requirements and issues, provides recommendations for selecting an appropriate engineer, and offers some useful cost-cutting measures. It also touches on recent and controversial enforcement of SPCC compliance in select regions on parked petroleum trucks (such as heating oil trucks) that contain product.

The NEFI Legislative and Regulatory Action Center is providing the CD at $50 for members and $350 for non-members. For more information, click here for the NEFI Web site at nefi.com or telephone 617-923-5022.
