Dupre Logistics, Lafayette LA, will be featured in a National Geographic Channel program on driver fatigue management, according to Dupre information.

“Being able to educate the public on this issue is a great honor," said Tom Voelkel, Dupre Logistics president. "We take pride in assuring motorists, our employees and our customers that our trucks and drivers are some of the safest on the road today.”

The television producers filmed at Dupre's headquarters May 3-5 for the program that will be aired later this year. Dupre was selected for the feature because of its proactive stance to combat driver fatigue.

In 2001, Dupre consulted with Circadian Technologies, a company that provides 24/7 workforce performance and safety solutions for businesses that operate around the clock. The carrier then implemented a program to manage truck drivers. The program designed to combat fatigue included focusing on alertness and safety, drivers' biological clock, better sleep, health, and diet.
