Patty Shirar, the wife of a Heritage Environmental Services LLC driver, is one of the winners in the American Trucking Associations (ATA) National Truck Driving Championships Collectible Truck and Lapel Pin Design Contest.

Each year, ATA unveils a new collectible truck and lapel pin to memorialize the current year’s competition. This year anyone associated with the trucking industry, spouses and children included, were encouraged to submit their design ideas.

Shirar of Indianapolis IN was a lapel pin design contest winner, as well as winner of the collectible truck design contest. Her husband has been driving for over 30 years and her father was a professional truck driver.

Her winning design can be seen online at truckline.com.

ATA said in a news release that the designs were chosen based on capturing the essence of the truck driving contest and the 2008 host city, Houston TX. The contest is scheduled August 19-23 at the George R Brown Convention Center and Hilton Americas Hotel. More information is available online at truckline.com.
