Hagen Logistics changes name to Liquid Freight

Sept. 7, 2016

Hagen Logistics, a third party logistics provider, is changing its name to Liquid Freight. The name change fits the brand and highlights management’s belief that the future of the food transportation industry will be dominated by technology to enhance food safety and security.

Real time data sharing, immediate access to all documentation relating to any load, and a continuous improvement in the hardware used to harvest information are among the tools needed for this change. Liquid Freight's online load brokering board (liquidfreight.com) is the centerpiece of this data exchange that leverages TMW Systems suite of load planning and brokerage tools to communicate load information to and receive load information from their carriers and shippers.

Liquid Freight became a customer partner with TMW Systems in 2014. Earthling Interactive of Madison WI helped integrate and create real time integrated solutions with TMW. Liquid Freight is being honored for the work by receiving TMW's Innovator of the Year Award at this year’s in.sight User Conference in September in Nashville TN.

In addition to the focus on technology, Brandon Johnson, managing partner of Liquid Freight, was elected to the board of directors for the International Milk Haulers Association this past April. With Liquid Freight and it's role between shippers and carriers, Brandon believes he'll be able to help with the many issues facing the industry today.

Moving Food Forward is Liquid Freight's slogan and embodies the company’s focus on being an active force as a part of the food supply chain.
