Girard Equipment Inc, family owned and operated since 1952, is a leading North American supplier of cargo tank hardware. With two tank truck parts distribution and installation facilities currently serving customers, Girard continues expanding its operations to meet the increasing needs of its customers.

Girard offers premium service and an extensive lineup of products and services through distribution and installation shops in La Porte, Texas, and Linden, New Jersey. Currently, Girard is a stocking distributor for Goodyear Redwing hose, Scully Systems and Electronics, LC Meters, Civacon hardware, Betts, Hannay reels, Blackmer pumps, and many more. All products are available online as well at Girard Equipment's newest website: www.tanktrux.com.

At this year's Atlantic Region Energy Expo, one of the largest petroleum marketing and HVAC industry conventions and trade shows in the Northeast, Girard provided a key attraction by displaying a fully restored 1934 Mack truck, graciously provided by Gary and Roger Mahem of Allied Oil and the Mahem Foundation. Also on display at the Atlantic City, New Jersey, was a 2008 Trans-Tech tank on a Peterbilt chassis — one of two identical tankwagons assembled by Girard for Arrow and Stultz Fuel.

“We are proud to have partnered with Girard Equipment and look forward to having them build trucks for our company in the future,” says Edward Monto, president of Arrow Stultz Corporation. “Girard's quality and reliability exceeded our expectations.”

Both trucks were custom-built and featured Civacon bottom loading equipment, Betts lights, Hannay reels, Goodyear fuel oil delivery hose, Scully nozzles, Blackmer pump, and LC Meter system.

With more than eight fulltime mechanics in both locations, Girard Equipment is building fuel oil trucks, servicing and repairing gas tankers and chemical trailers. All mechanics and members of the sales and service team are trained and well versed on all products and service offered assuring customers always meet with knowledgeable and skilled staff. Girard's relationship with Trans-tech makes it possible to build quality fuel oil trucks from the ground up.

“Girard delivered our vehicle on time and on budget,” states Bob Ayers, owner of National Fuel Oil in Newark, New Jersey. “With over 50 years of history in this industry, I was confident that Girard would customize our vehicle to our exact specifications.”

Girard's facility in Texas is located in the heart of the Gulf Coast, an area with an abundance of petroleum distributors. “With a wide array of inventory from a broad supplier network and a deep understanding of all products, Girard is poised to provide companies with all of their tank truck needs,” says Michael Girard.

Girard's New Jersey facility is in Linden. Dubbed the “One Stop Shop,” the facility specializes in repair to pumps, meters, bottom-loading equipment, vapor recovery equipment, PAF manholes, hose, and various fittings. Both facilities have warehousing space.

In keeping their commitment to provide the best level of service to customers, Girard hired Craig Marturano in early 2007. Marturano was brought on to foster new business and maintain existing long-term relationships within the fuel oil industry. He brought a wealth of experience and knowledge with nearly a decade of experience in the fuel oil industry. Recently, Girard named Marturano general manager, and he continues to work on streamlining internal processes to better the customer experience.

Girard's Distribution and Installation Shops are open for business Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5 pm with extended service hours available.
