Feb. 10, 2016

Transportation specialist Liquid CONcept, which is expanding its range of containers, has acquired an additional 20 tank containers. The Hamburg, Germany-based company has business throughout Europe. It specializes in transport of liquid foodstuffs and in creating customized solutions for food logistics requirements.

With the addition of the new tank containers, Liquid CONcept now has a total of 50. They can be used flexibly, not just for transport, but also where additional storage capacity is needed short term.

The tanks can be configured to adapt to individual clients’ requirements. In this way the company is able to bring into play its ambition to focus consistently on its clients’ wishes and to tailor its solutions for them at the highest technical level.

After having successfully established its intermediate bulk container business within a very short time, Liquid CONcept is now responding to the increase in demand for integrated logistics services by investing heavily in its pool of tank containers. The current purchases amount to an investment volume of around EUR 500,000.

“Through our new investments we are responding to the requirements of the market and to the increase in demand for special transport containers,” says Ulrich Schnoor, managing director of Liquid CONcept. “This gives us the opportunity both to build up our existing business further and to achieve deep-reaching synergies with our clients’ logistics processes--with the added benefit of improving handling even more.”

Of the 20 new tanks acquired, 15 have already been rented out to customers. Foodstuffs producers will use them primarily for chocolate, cacao products, fruit juices and glucose, to be delivered mainly to companies in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for additional processing.
