The American Trucking Associations honored Bob Halladay with the S. Earl Dove Highway Award

The American Trucking Associations honored Bob Halladay with the S. Earl Dove Highway Award — ATA's highest honor — for his dedication to the trucking industry. He began his trucking career in 1952 as managing director of the Kansas Motor Carriers Association. He later served as chairman of the Midwest Trucking Associations, first chairman of the ATA Reciprocity Committee, and the first elected chairman of ATA's Trucking Association Executives Council. Halladay also served as ATA's director of interstate cooperation and wrote The Story of the American Trucking Associations. He was ATA's senior vice president of federation relations and president of Transport Topics Publishing when he retired in 1990.
