Advocacy at forefront of upcoming NTTC annual conference

March 23, 2016

National Tank Truck Carriers is offering three first-class events for membership to get involved in NTTC's advocacy efforts: the NTTC PAC Golf event; the NTTC PAC Reception in support of its Centurion Campaign; and, lastly the fundraiser for Congressman Denham and Congressman Hunter.

The NTTC PAC golf event will be held at the Del Mar Country Club in San Diego CA on April 24 at 8 am. The Del Mar Country Club is one of the premier country clubs in Southern California. The club is privately owned by Madeleine Ann Pickens whose passion for golf was instilled in her by her father, Bill Baker, an Englishman and renowned golf course architect. Please see the golf registration form for more details and return it to Bethany by email or fax (703-838-8860).

The NTTC PAC fundraiser reception will be held on April 25 from 4:30-6:30 pm at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center. The San Diego Wine & Culinary Event Center specializes in food and wine-themed group events.

Payment must be from a personal account and made to NTTC PAC. Please review the NTTC PAC brochure along with the authorization to solicit form to contribute in advance. Please note that the maximum allowable contribution to the NTTC PAC on a yearly basis is $5000. In addition to PAC golfers, all PAC Platinum donors are welcome without additional charge. Please RSVP to Megan Kmiotek ([email protected]).

The NTTC PAC is extremely pleased to host a special fundraising event for Congressman Jeff Denham featuring special guest Congressman Duncan Hunter. All NTTC guests are welcome to attend this event on April 25 at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center from 5:30-6 pm. We would very much appreciate any financial support you can muster for Chairman Denham. Our goal is to afford our members a special opportunity to acquaint themselves with the top two key legislators in all of transportation. For more details, please view the NTTC PAC reception invitation.

As you know, Congressman Jeff Denham is a great friend and supporter of the tank truck industry. He was our champion advocate for the withdrawal of the Cargo Tank Wetlines Rule.  The Congressman also crafted the Denham Amendment, which would have enforced the intent of the Federal Aviation Administration Authorization Act (FAAAA). Congress enacted the FAAAA in 1994 to prevent states from undermining federal deregulation of interstate commerce through a patchwork of state regulations.
