Bulk tank carrier Miller Transporters Inc has been awarded 2015 Quest for Quality Award by Logistics Management (LM). This marks Miller Transporters’ 20th Quest for Quality award.
The Quest for Quality Award is the gold standard for customer satisfaction and performance excellence for carriers, ports, and logistics providers worldwide, according to Steve Tapscott with Miller Transporters. The award is based on a carrier’s rating in five areas: on-time performance, value, customer service, information technology, and equipment and operations. Only carriers that excel in all five areas achieve the “Readers’ Choice” designation and Miller Transporters is proud to be among such an elite group.
According to the readers of Logistics Management, the list of carriers and service providers receiving a Quest for Quality Award this year have been equal to the task, matching their ever-demanding service needs and helping them keep pace with the new speed of global business. Logistics Management had 4,649 logistics and supply chain decision makers place their vote. This six-month research project conducted by Peerless Research Group (PRG), results in the transportation and logistics services provider organizations that have crossed the service-excellence finish line ahead of their competitors, being designated “best of the best” by the readers of LM.
According to Logistics Management, the truckload sector now accounts for about 37% of total freight transportation spending in the United States and is by far the largest single piece of the trucking market.
